I always loved watching The Sound of Music when I was growing up.  If I have a very lazy day sometime in my future (wish!), I will have to watch this film again.  As the "My Favorite Things" lyrics were running through my head all afternoon the other day, I thought it might be a fun idea to snap some photos of some of my favorite little things and share them with you.  I love finding joy in the little things in life, and I find myself smiling each time I find joy in anything.  On good days as well as bad, take time to find joy in the simple and small things in life.  And always remember "The best things in life cannot be seen or even touched; they must be felt with the heart."

Wonders from the Weekend

This past weekend was amazing!  The days and nights were filled with lots of times with friends- barbecues, wedding celebrations, time on the lake, more barbecues... the perfect weekend for the 4th of July celebrations!  The weather was hot pretty much ever place I was these past few days, but that had me thinking I was thankful for where I was raised in the Central Valley heat so that I was used to hot days like these!  I can hardly believe that July is here already, but am absolutely looking forward to the rest of the summer events that will be experienced in the coming weeks.  Also, I am very thankful that this is a four day work week- aren't you?  Hope that you had an amazing Independence Day weekend and have a great week ahead of you!

What a whirlwind week (and month!) this has been!  Filled with travel, meetings, projects, and evening events, the past four days have been so busy it is hard to believe that Friday is finally here!  With just one glance at the photo pictured above, I knew this was the perfect dress with which to become obsessed.  Hello one-shoulder love, flattering waistline, and ALL KINDS of sparkle!!  This would be the perfect dress to wear to any upcoming Glitter Guide event, a blogazine which I shared with you earlier this week.  And come to think of it, wouldn't this also be divine for a New Year's Eve celebration?  Heidi, if you ever want to clean out your closet, please feel free to give me a call.  And to continue this wishful thinking process, I have created a few sets with ideas for adding sparkle into your life to give you more than a 'glimmer' of hope each day!
