Thanksgiving Decoration Inspiration

Hello there, 3Ppretty peeps!  I know it has been a (blogger) lifetime since my last blog post.  I have taken a hiatus to enjoy life, travel, and stock up on a whole bunch of great experiences, and am now happy to let you know that 3P posts will be up now and then again!  It is many thanks to good friends and loyal readers for the inspiration to keep on keepin' on when it comes to this blog.  I do love to blog, and every day of life is filled with 3P inspiration.  So, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I bring you some snapshots from Thanksgivings past at my house.  I always have a blast designing, decorating, and hosting this occasion, so read on to find some inspiration of your own.

Thank you, Veterans

This Veterans Day, I want to send a special thank you to honor all of our brave and sacrificing Veterans.  Freedom is never free, and the men and women who have served, are serving, and will serve in our military to protect the U.S.A deserve all of our honor, compassion, and respect.  Thank you Veterans, and may God Bless America!

Happy Halloween Decor

With the fall weather finally approaching now that its the middle of October, I have been happily enjoying some fall decorations around the 3P house.  Although I am not one to really decorate specifically for Halloween, there are some cute options out there to elude to the season but not the spookiness.  Here are a few tidbits I have spied here and there that would add a little Halloween festivity to your autumn decor.

Valentine's Day gifts for girls and guys

February is great for so many reasons: red brightens up the gray winter days, chocolate is in abundance, love is in the air (just so you can easily appreciate all of your loving family and friends), pink girlies is oh-so-acceptable, and the promos of spring is right around the corner.  Although not everyone I know loves Valentine's Day, what better excuse is there to give sweet treats to your favorite beloved girls and guys?  Here is a roundup of Valentine's gifts for your girlfriends and guy friends, all at great price points!

Go ahead, treat your sweet friends to some girly goodness!  I am especially loving the Stella & Dot candle and the most-adorable-bobby-pin-set! (PS- I discovered all of these great items on Keep, and I am keeping them there and totally loving it!)

Spoil those guys in your life with some of these manly indulgences...

My favorites in this guy-gift collection? The C. Wonder mug and the Rifle Paper Co. card for the handsome fox guy in your life! And I think The Book of Burger will work as a great gift for any carnivore you know!

Christmas memories

< cute little snowman capturing a theme of the season >

After a wonderful Christmas that totally flew by, I'm back!  Did this Christmas season seem to go by in a blur for anyone else? Time with friends and family and lots of sweet homemade treats have filled my bill this season.  Now its time to prepare for some New Years sparkle and what is sure to be an incredible 2014!

Around my home: Classic Christmas Decorations

Sharing some Christmas cheer here today with a peek inside the 3P home!  The Christmas decorations are up and have this place feeling cozy and festive all day long.  I used decor that I had on hand to create the cheery decorative additions to each room, and changed things up a bit from last year's Christmas decorating to give a fresh feeling to the decor.  I am loving the green and silver in our living room, and our Christmas mantle is pretty much my favorite mantle so far.  Its a bit of photo overload on here today, but lots of visual inspiration for you to enjoy!

< such a cozy room to spend the cool winter evenings cuddled up in- and looks like a brand new room from fall, no? >

< My favorite Christmas pillow- cover from Pottery Barn >

< candles from Target and coasters from Pottery Barn (similar here) >

< my thrifted bar cart, all gussied up for Christmas! >

< loved creating these little winter scenes in glass canisters my sweet friend gave me! >

< stockings all hung by the fireplace with care >

< jingle all the way- stockings from Kohls >

< sparkly reindeer hangin' out by his sparkly silver tree >

< little Christmas table nook >

< reindeer plates and pinecones adding a little Christmas sparkle to this corner of the kitchen.  Had to keep the DIY photo booth props I made because everyone loved them so! >

< red and gold spicing up this dining room >

 < a cheery Christmas table top >

< Jesus is the Reason for the Season- a vintage nativity set I will cherish forever.  Similar set available here. >

< The first layered rug look I have ever done, and I love it for a Christmas vibe! >

< I loved bra ping this red gingham quilt over the back of this couch for an easy festive touch >

< The most comfortable seat in the house- with plenty of Christmas cheer right beside it! >

Hope you all love these decorations as much as I do!  If you ever want help decorating, you know to contact me- I always love it!

A fall tablescape

With Thanksgiving just two-and-a-half weeks away from now, beautiful fall tablescapes are on my radar.  There will be several dinners hosted with friends and family in the 3P house, and you know me- I love a good thematic event, and the little details make all the difference! (See my fall living room details here.)  Most of the items I used in this tabletop setting I had on hand, but in my experience you can always find great seasonal decor and household items at Target and T.J. Maxx too.  With a wonderful dinner planned with good friends later this week, I'm glad that this tables cape came together so easily and has the perfect little touches of autumn for our guests!
