Celebrating one month with our little 3PBabyB!

Earlier this week, our precious little baby girl turned 1 month old.  I can hardly believe how time has flown- it seems like just last month I announced this baby bump, and then just last week she arrived!  People have said that time really does fly by when you have children, and I am finding this to be true each day.  Our hearts are so thankful for this wonderful, healthy, loving addition to the 3P household, and this sweetheart melts our hearts each and every moment of each and every day!

Wonders from the weekend

< birthday celebrations with my girls >

Happy Monday, 3P lovelies! I hope you all feel as rested up and ready to embrace this week as I do! Another weekend at home allowed some time for finishing up some long overdue projects, laughing with the best of friends, decorating a new room in the 3P house, trying out a few new recipes, and getting some R&R while enjoying a bit of the Golden Globes. I wish weekends lasted longer, of course- but I am looking forward to a great week and hope you are too!

Party pieces with sparkle for NYE

3P plans for ringing in the new year are not totally set as of yet, but certainly no matter what, party pieces with sequins and sparkle will be incorporated!  Here are a few sparkly pieces I am loving as of late- what will you be sparkling with for NYE?

Christmas memories

< cute little snowman capturing a theme of the season >

After a wonderful Christmas that totally flew by, I'm back!  Did this Christmas season seem to go by in a blur for anyone else? Time with friends and family and lots of sweet homemade treats have filled my bill this season.  Now its time to prepare for some New Years sparkle and what is sure to be an incredible 2014!

Wonders from the weekend

< wrapping supplies for Christmas gifts and goodies >

Another December weekend is past us and Christmas is almost here, yeah! I'm almost as excited as a kid in a candy shop. The wrapping is almost finished, Christmas baking is well on its way, December birthdays are being celebrated, and friends from far and near are celebrating with us most every day that's left of this year! Can you tell that Christmas is one of my most favorite times of year?
Make it a great week, 3P style- I know I will!

Yellow & Grey Baby Shower Days

I have been hinting about some wonderful celebrations lately, and I am now happily sharing a little peek into some of the baby shower fun I have been totally spoiled with the past few weeks!  (You caught my baby bump announcement, right?) All of this love for me and Baby B from sweet family and friends has warmed my heart so much!  Every shower was done in yellow and grey- the inspiration for little Baby B's nursery.  There are tons of sweets leftover from this shower, which totally emulates all of the sweetness poured in to each celebration.  A huge thank you to- you know who you are- for these forever memorable fun celebrations for Baby B and me!

Thanksgiving thanks

< simple appetizers to welcome the crowd >

Can anyone else believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone already this year?  There is something about 2013 that is just making the months fly by.  This year the man and I were happy to host another Thanksgiving for all kinds of family- 24 in all enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast at our place.  Thanks to a little preparation earlier last week, and all of the side dishes that our guests were kind enough to bring, the meal came off without a hitch and the celebration was wonderful!  We had a beautiful sunny afternoon which allowed for socializing and lawn games outside, and thoroughly enjoyed the benefits of our kitchen remodel for hosting this crowd.  I was very thankful for everyone who was able to join us that day, and feel very blessed to have all those wonderful people in our lives.  I was also very thankful to have a few days afterward to recover and regain the energy I spent as hostess.  (A few more celebrations actually occurred in the following days, so stay tuned for updates on those.)

Wonders from the weekend

< cozy fireside on the eve of Thanksgiving >

And I'm back!  What a busy, fun-filled past few days it has been!  Last week was so packed with work and preparing for the Thanksgiving feast and guests we hosted, plus a few more celebrations were thrown in to enjoy the following days.  December is starting off with me feeling completely blessed, and I am going to focus on this feeling rather than the crazy fact that Christmas is now right around the corner!  Here are a few snapshots from the long Thanksgiving weekend I enjoyed- hope all you 3P wonderfuls had a great few days of celebration too!

Whatever you are facing this week, make it a great one- 3P style of course!

The cat's outta the bag!

It is with great joy and excitement that I share this news with you today- the 3P house is blessed to have a little miracle on the way!  At 28 weeks and counting, this little Baby B will be here before we know it!  The man and I are so incredibly thankful for this miracle and can't wait to meet our little one.  Happily enjoying this little bump that keeps on growing and praying for this wee one (and our future parenting skills) constantly!

Lucky number 7

This day, 7 years ago, the man and I tied the knot.  The time has flown by, we have grown so much together, and I could not be more blessed to have this wonderful guy as my husband.  I love the way our love keeps growing, and can't wait to see where God takes us next!

DIY egg carton garland

< supplies: 18-pack egg cartons, scissors, raphia, and spray paint (not pictured: glitter and glue gun) >

Making a little DIY gift for someone close to your heart is probably one of the most thoughtful kind of presents your can give.  This past weekend, full of celebrations for my best friend and her new husband, was filled with thoughtful little details every moment.  I knew I would be hosting my best friend one night before her wedding and wanted to add a few personal touches to highlight her special day and how treasured her friendship is.  A few years ago, she and I spied the neatest garland in an Anthropologie window display, and I knew I wanted to replicate that idea to decorate my space when my best friend stayed over.  So I saved up some egg cartons, gathered a selection of spray paint, tossed in a little glitter for fun, and whipped up this recycled DIY garland.  Thankfully, the time that was put in to this little project paid off, and the egg carton garland was a hit!

< to make the 'blossoms,' cut the center row from the 18-pack egg carton and use the middle 5 pieces- these will all have 4 corner points and will provide the look of a 'blossom' >

< spray paint your 'blossoms' in your desired colors- I added a little glitter in the center of each blossom  to give a subtle hint of sparkle >

< cut each section of egg carton rows into individual pieces- these are the egg crate blossoms for your garland!  Use hot glue to attach the blossoms to your raphia (twine or string will also work) >

< hang your DIY egg carton garland for all to enjoy! >
