3PbabyB yellow and gray nursery

To continue on the Mother's Day theme here on the blog this week, I am happy to share our 3P Baby B's nursery.  This room came together in a snap after a few months of planning, and I could not be happier with this space.  Most of the furniture in this room was kindly gifted by friends and family, but are great bargain investments from Target.  I nixed the idea of a changing table in favor of a dresser, which can be used by our daughter after she outgrows the nursery.  The gallery wall is one of everyone's favorite designs, and the DIY mobile I fashioned above he changing pad is one of 3P Baby B's favorite things to look at!  Yellow, white and silver were the color inspirations for this room, and that inspiration produced some dreamy results!  So if you are looking for a little yellow and gray nursery design inspiration, look no further!
This glider is perfection- the back is tall enough to rest your head against, and the armrests are the perfect height for holding my little baby as I rock her to sleep.

Love these DIY shelves my man built and installed in our baby's room.  Love talking to her about dreams and laughter everyday when I point out those decorations- I had these on hand and spray painted them silver, but you can find something similar here or here.

Totally love how this nursery gallery wall came together!

I made this little mobile with some leftover decorations from a 3PbabyB baby shower.

Everyone loves this adorable clock from my childhood room- find a similar one here.

Design project: decoration makeover

I feel so lucky to have completed another space makeover for a sweet friend!  She and I coordinated online to determine the design elements in this makeover, and thanks to some great help I had, everything went up in one afternoon. The basic elements of this makeover design were new wall art, a few knick-knack decorations, and some simple organization.  Honestly, decor and design projects like this are my dream job.  With a palette of neutral furniture accented with red and white, this cozy little space is sure to be cheery on grey winter days and throughout the rest of the year!

Autumn living room update

When seasons change, so do my decoration inspirations and preferences.  Perhaps this late arrival of autumn in California is the reason it has taken me so long to get the fall decorations set out around the 3P space!  But now that the last day of October is here, autumn decorations are finally here. The recent cooler nights recently definitely inspired me to create a more cozy living room for relaxing and enjoying candlelight, hot cider, and the occasional fire in the fireplace.  Thanks to the ever-fabulous Target, with cute little details I already had on hand, this autumn makeover came together in a cinch!  So without further ado, here is  this newly decorated space I am totally enjoying for fall.

Have a safe and happy Halloween, and enjoy all kinds of sweet treats!

New office reveal

A few changes have been made around the 3P abode, and this new office of mine is one of my favorite spaces now!  I went with a simple color theme of black, yellow, gold, and splashes of white.  I also added all kinds of girly elements so that this space feels just like a dream to me.  I love being organized and having this work space that I adore!  To see what my desk area looked like originally, click here.  You can also see little sneak peeks of this new space here and here.  I hope you enjoy looking at this office design as much as I do!

Styling a bookcase

Would you believe that this is an old bookcase from the '70's??  My man kindly painted this white for me, as I am loving the West Elm Parsons Towers, but wanted to have a more budget-friendly version in our space!  I went to town the other day sorting books by color and collecting little shelf decorations, and just love this new arrangement on this bookcase!  Styling a bookcase works like a charm when arrange your books by color, and include little decorative knick-knacks that are special to you!  Speaking of little decorations, I can't wait until this guy's new collection comes out this fall!

< white books on the top shelf... and my favorite new-to-me pineapple bookends! >

< colorful display with books laying on their sides and a touch of metallic from the candle holder (similar candle holder here and here) >

< books in my favorite color. with some clogs that remind me of my heritage and a cute little Ms. Owl (I think this sparkly friend should be her BFF) >

< there's my gold lion, kickin' it next to books with black covers on a gold tray.  And the bottom shelf holds some festive colors that just automatically get you ready for a game of Tripoly! >

New kitchen organization

< everyday white dishes all lined up for display behind glass front cupboards >

Remember when I so happily shared my beautiful kitchen remodel with you?  I am still loving this brand new room and feel so blessed to have this wonderful new space.  As you faithful 3P readers know, I love me some organization, anytime, anywhere.  This new kitchen is pretty much completely organized, with just a few details to attend to.  I may or may not switch a few of these cupboard and drawer items around for a more useful set up, but in the meantime I am just loving the well organized shelves and drawers within this delightful new cabinetry.

< Another glass front cupboard, this one storing all kinds of glassware >
(See how some of this glassware used to be stored)

< plastic 'tupperware' all stacked up for easy access, and cutting boards within arm's reach >

< glass Pyrex and large Corningware cooking dishes >

< this wonderful 36" drawer holds almost every cooking utensil I need on a day-to-day basis >

< pots and pans are stored in the drawer above this one; the bottom drawer holds lids, strainers, and my beloved collection of Corningware >

< some shelves in the pantry- glass bowls make for a pretty display, and this lineup of cookbooks makes me think of a bookstore shelf! >
