Obsessed: Ms. Decker
TGIF, 3P wonderfuls!!
Always so glad when a Friday rolls around! I am not super- familiar with this model turned actress, but
man, can this girl rock some awesome outfits, or what? Not sure if I could ever replicate her
style in the least, so for now I will just say, “You go, Brooklyn!” (And now, as of today, I will be oficially 'obsessed' with replicating some of her awesome style!)
Have a great weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here
on Monday!

Daily Dressing
Happy Thursday, 3P pretties! As you can tell from most of these outfit photos, its been a scorcher of a week recently- the sun has been blazing down and it feels like summer has totally hit! Although, oddly enough, it is pouring down rain as I type this. It's been a roller coaster of spring weather this year- cold, windy, and rainy one day, and the next makes you feel like you want to be sunbathing by the lake! Hope that the cheery colors in these outfits help to inspire you to create some new fashion from your own closets! And remember- don't miss out on voting in this week's Weekly Wardrobe Win!

Say cheese
I love me some cheese- almost any kind of cheese. But it is Tillamook cheddar that is around this 3P house most often, because 'no cheese beats Tillamook in my book!' When I saw this recipe, I knew I would have to give it a try. I substituted a few things (sliced turkey instead of pancetta, whole cranberry sauce and honey mustard instead of listed ingredients) to make an easy, delicious weeknight meal with what was on hand. And I almost forgot to add the apple slices, but I was so glad to remember those at the last minute- they were a perfect crunchy component. Let me tell you, these grilled sandwiches were delicious and so filling, to boot. Almost like a gourmet sandwich shop stopped by to serve us dinner. Totally like lick-your-fingers-clean tasty good! This grilled creation will definitely be in the 3P dinner rotation from now on!

Patterns, repeated
< Spots on spots on spots- polka dots! >
I enjoy looking through my closet and pulling out items
already in there that are ‘on-trend’ with current styles. Lately, thanks to some of my favorite
style magazines and many of the fashionable bloggers after there, I have been
glad to find new inspiration for some of the not-so new items in my
wardrobe. And do any of you 3p
readers get that “Hey, I could make that outfit!” excitement when you see
someone else’s outfit and realize how you can remix items in your closet to
create your own version of that outfit?
This 3P girl does, for sure!! Here are some currently popular patterns I have found- in multiples- in my closet. Now, back to those spring fashion articles!

Wonders from the weekend
< The last of the Easter candy, swim time, enjoyed this beautiful jewelry storage/display, loved seeing all the bright blooms popping up everywhere, caught up on some spring reads, and always enjoy a beautiful sunset! >
Oh hey, Monday- how did you get here so soon? It really felt like summer this weekend, so barbecuing, swimming, and ice cream were all entirely appropriate! The 3P man and I enjoyed a little road trip to our hometown, indulged in plenty of childhood activities (like water fights in the swimming pool and dodgeball on trampolines), drank more soda than we have in a while, and basically felt like we kicked off summer on a great note. Not really sure if this is good to start spring fever at this point in April, but oh well- totally worth it!
This week is going to be a doozy with so much to do, but I will have a little (summer) pep in my step the whole time- hope you 3P wonderfuls do too!

Obsessed: Ann T. and LOFT
< Blues, greens, florals, and stripes from Ann Taylor >
TGIF, 3P pretties! What a busy week this has been- so glad that today is Friday and that the weekend is so close! Sales are an obsession of mine (not just on Fridays!), and I always love a good discount. Luckily, Ann Taylor and LOFT are hosting Friends & Family discounts these days- don't miss out on these fabulous deals, because there are some highly desirable, fashionable, classic and totally fun pieces at each of these stores. I have pulled just a few of my favorite pieces from each store's line, and am rotating glances between each collage because I cannot take my eyes off the striped bags and the jewelry!!
Have a wonderfully delightful weekend, and I will see you back here on Monday!

Current drugstore beauty faves
< Pantene shampoos and conditioners, and this L'oreal cleansing conditioner leave my hair feeling clean and silky smooth >
I was never really a product girl until after high school. Now, I cannot really feel ready for the day without going through my daily product routine. I sometimes laugh at myself about this, but then I think how lucky I am that Target is no more than a hop, skip, and a jump away from my house. Or is it Target that's lucky that this product girl lives so close? Either way, I am happy to share with you some of my current favorite drugstore beauty buys today. Shampoo that feels like my own salon product, gentle yet entirely effective cleansers, moisturizers that I cannot go without... all of these items serve to keep me prepped and ready for each day, and add a slight spa feeling to my mourning routine. Tell me, what drugstore beauty buys can you not live without?
< My number one cleansing product choice is always Neutrogena >
< For untangled hair with the maximum volume I can get with my fine strands, this trio does the trick >
< Eucerin for day and Olay for night provides just the right amount of SPF and moisturizing effects >
< Eyeshadow quads are great for go-to day looks, and switching between sets can help evade the boredom of a constant look. Plus, I just couldn't resist the sparkle in Revlon's diamond lust, and love wearing that for an evening look >

Weekly Wardrobe
Another Wednesday, another week of outfits! I have been so happy wearing bright spring colors lately, and I really love some of my latest spring outfits (it always surprises me when I am so happy with an outfit!). Although a huge spring storm darkened some of the days recently, the air was wonderfully clear once the clouds blew away, and the sunshine was quite inviting for skirts and heels- some of my favorite items to wear! As evidenced in these photos, lately I have been loving stripes, a rainbow of colors, and mixing patterns. What are some of your favorite recent fashion trends?

DIY ideas
I have been doing a little bit of spring cleaning here and there almost every day as of late, and somehow these egg cartons, apple container, and wine bottles have made the cut. I am not trying to be a hoarder (trust me, these items are stored neatly on a shelf), but I just have urged myself to not toss these items into the recycle bin yet, as I have some creative ideas for how to turn these used items into handy DIY projects. As it turns out, one woman's trash may end up being her treasure, too! I have yet to complete any DIY projects with these used items, but I will happily share the end results, once accomplished, on the blog so be sure to stay tuned for that!
Tell me, what is your latest DIY? Please share! Do you have any other clever ideas for reusing these few items of mine?
< Old egg cartons... >
< New egg carton tricks! This egg ain't bad! >
< Container that used to store apples... >
< Could be used to transport cupcakes, store Christmas ornaments, or keep yarn organized. >
< Empty wine bottles... >
< Could become outdoor lighting, decorative vases, candle holders of differing heights, a glowing tabletop display, or a helpful plant waterer... >

Wonders from the weekend
< Touring my man's worksite >
This was such a wonderful weekend- I didn't want it to end! (Anyone else feel the same way?) Although it started off with a great thunderstorm, the rest of the days were sunny and very spring-like. While this sun had me wishing I was boating and enjoying time near the water, it actually really allowed for some great time at home and some excellent success at projects that have been put off for a while. I also enjoyed a lovely dinner date, plenty of time outside in the beautiful sunshine, errands checked off the list, a great sermon at church, and breakfast for dinner. Although this week is going to be a busy one, I will just remind myself to always smile because... Life is good!
Whatever you are facing this week, make it a great one!
< Lumber, lumber, lumber... for a project I can't wait to share with you! >
< Tasty iced drinks on a warm afternoon >
< New decorations hanging on our fence >
