TGIF, my wonderful 3P lovelies!  What a week this has been- for everyone, I'm sure- so let's get a cheers in for the weekend! Just a few of my favorite things around the interweb this week- enjoy!

1. I have been on the hunt for a useful and stylish felt hat for fall, and this one has a great look and price point.  (nordstrom.com)

2. I still have my Felicity doll (and all her books too), so I am thankful for that but sorry to hear about the 'tough' trials of American Girl characters these days. (washingtonpost.com)

3. A simple and dreamy list to make your days less stressful. (realsimple.com)

4. Of course Estee Lauder has the most beautiful fall colors in nail polish. (neimanmarcus.com)

5. These cocktail napkins from Anthropologie will be the perfect way to dress up your fall bar cart or drink station. (anthropologie.com)

6. Perfect project for fall decorating: DIY antlers with driftwood. (jenniferrizzo.com)

7. A perfect addition to your fall jewelry wardrobe- this ring with rich autumn hues (bonus: its on sale too). (stelladot.com)

8. A funny but oh-so-true list of selfies you must never take. (huffingtonpost.com)

9. Even reading the recipe made my mouth water- this lemon blackberry and rosemary sour cream bundt will have to be attempted. (twiggstudios.com)

Pretty pairings: mixing prints with florals

I love to wear florals year round, and summer is the perfect time to debut those bright, cheery floral patterns hanging in your closet.  In order to add some diversity to the way you wear your floral items, please boldly venture into the wonderful world of pattern mixing!  Here I have gathered four different ways to mix and match your florals with other patterned items in your closet: stripes, spots, other florals, and ginghams.  I can't wait to try out some of these ideas, and hope you find some inspiration here, too!  Psst!  For super-easy floral/other pattern mixing, try dresses like this, this, or this.

Find these photos and more pattern mixing ideas over here!

2. Hands-down, my favorite brunch meal is eggs benedict- I am excited to try this recipe for a crowd one of these days.

3. I am playing this song on repeat.  Making up dance moves too!

4. Support the Hollyrod Foundation and Autism Awareness with this bracelet, perfect for all things spring and summer.

5. The perfect spring scarf- the right pop of color, and lightweight for the warmer days with cooler mornings and nights.

4 Pins for Friday

TGIF, you wonderful 3P faithfuls!  So happy that Friday is upon us and the weekend is right around the corner.  With the past few days (and weeks!) being swamped, I am looking forward to a little time to spend relaxing, socializing, and getting some fun projects completed this weekend.  A birthday party, a workout or two, some baking, and a Superbowl get together are all that are really on my agenda, and I am really looking forward to this kind of schedule.  Hope you have a great weekend!

1. A hot drink and a comfy sweater will make for an ideal winter Saturday morning.
2. This is an adorable DIY Valentine card- you can see my DIY cards made with love, from last year, here.
3. With New York Fashion Week right around the corner, I am dreaming of the wardrobe I would wear there.  A super-cool clear clutch like this one would be one of my most-haves.
4. I love me a pasta, and the healthier the better- I will have to try this recipe soon.

4 pins for Friday

TGIF, my wonderful 3P readers!  Hard to believe that another busy December week has come and gone, but so thankful that all of this busyness has me feeling very productive and accomplishing much. Since it is Friday, I figured it is a great day to share some inspiration from the ever-addicting Pinterest... and, as always, this site is so helpful for seasonal decorations, projects, and inspiration.  For example, when I start dreaming up a tablescape for a Christmas dinner, where can I pull inspiration from instead of leafing through magazine after magazine?  This site, of course!

Have a great weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here next week!

4 pins for Friday

< Christmas decorations are some of my favorites!  Find these pins here >

With the last day of November upon us (TGIF, and where did November go??), I am so looking forward to this upcoming Christmas season.  Busy will be the summary of each day between now and the end of the year, but it really is the most wonderful time of the year!  I have made some very exciting progress on Christmas decorations the past few days, and I cannot wait to share those with you!  And as I am always looking for new ideas, Pinterest is a great resource- I will once again be hanging my ornament couples together on the tree, and will also have to try my hand at some reindeer glitter art, some simple winter greenery added to a candle, and the addition of cranberries to a Mason jar.  I will be so very happy to finish my home decorations soon, and will also be so happy to help any one else who is excited to decorate around their space!

Have a great weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here on Monday!

< Nanette Lepore is one of my favorite designers! >

Happy Friday, my wonderful 3P pretties!  I am so glad that Friday is here and the weekend is near!  I am also sharing something else that makes me really happy- clothing that is made right here in the U.S. When local creativity is played out right here on our own soil from design through manufacturing, nothing beats that, right?  So a big thanks to Nanette Lepore, Splendid, Earnest Sewn, and Steven Alan for helping out our American economy and producing wonderful clothing designs right here on our homeland!  I will now be on the lookout for great sales from any of these designers! (See these clothing picks and more here.)

I hope the weekend is long and enjoyable for us all!  I will see you back here next week!

P.S.- Have you entered the 3P giveaway yet?

Friday's 4 (x2) pins

< Simple ideas for wall decorations that will be personalized and would make me smile every time I passed by! >

TGIF, 3P wonderfuls!  The day (of this week) that we have all been waiting for has indeed arrived!  Crafting and DIY ideas have been on my mind lately, and I thought on this happy day I would share some of these do-it-yourself projects that would make me very happy to complete!  The busy weekend ahead will not really allow for any project time, but maybe I can sneak a few moments in next week and complete something.  Anything, really, that is taken out of my crafting stash and turned into a completed project will make my inner Martha tendencies so pleased.  Or, if any of you manage to DIY some fabulous something in the next few days, do tell!  I will be so happy to hear about your project success!

Have a fabulous weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here next week!

< Simple homemade labels would add a nice personalized touch to my kitchen canisters, and would also be a nice addition to a cute food gift >

A little bit Pinterest Obsessed

< Snacks and meals that look absolutely delicious >

Happy Friday and TGIF, 3P pretties! What a week this was, right?  Or was it just me?  Well, to relieve some of the stress from this broken-up week, I have headed over to one of my current favorite sites,  Pinterest.  Talk about vision- this site provides the opportunity to envision and dream, and plan and store, for any event you can imagine,  and then pull up all of your reference 'files' with the quick click of a mouse button.  Today I am happy to share some of my newer pins, with you, and you can head on over to my Pinterest page to see the pinning collection in its entirety!

Have a wonderful weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here on Monday!

DIY ideas

I have been doing a little bit of spring cleaning here and there almost every day as of late, and somehow these egg cartons, apple container, and wine bottles have made the cut.  I am not trying to be a hoarder (trust me, these items are stored neatly on a shelf), but I just have urged myself to not toss these items into the recycle bin yet, as I have some creative ideas for how to turn these used items into handy DIY projects.  As it turns out, one woman's trash may end up being her treasure, too!  I have yet to complete any DIY projects with these used items, but I will happily share the end results, once accomplished, on the blog so be sure to stay tuned for that!

Tell me, what is your latest DIY?  Please share! Do you have any other clever ideas for reusing these few items of mine?

 < Old egg cartons... >
< New egg carton tricks!  This egg ain't bad! >

< Container that used to store apples... >
< Could be used to transport cupcakes, store Christmas ornaments, or keep yarn organized. >

< Empty wine bottles... >
< Could become outdoor lighting, decorative vases, candle holders of differing heights, a glowing tabletop display, or a helpful plant waterer... >

For more DIY ideas, check me out (and please follow me!) on Pinterest!

4 pins (x3) for Friday

< Dreamin' of traveling the world- Capri, Monoco, and of course Paris! >

TGIF!!  Hooray, hooray that today is Friday!  We dream of Fridays all week, right? So I thought it would be quite appropriate to share some dreamin' kind of things today... especially since Californians ( and admittedly, me and the husband too) are pretty much dreaming about we might do with millions upon millions if a few numbers tonight happen to be our lucky numbers- ha!  Travel the world, buy a little place in Monoco, build that dream house/kitchen/closet...  Aside from the humorous mention of dreaming about these things because of 'lucky numbers,' the pins in this post are things I really would love to experience in life. Hey, a girl can have her daydreams, right?

Hope you have a dreamy kind of 3P weekend planned for yourself, and see you back here next week!

< Part of my dream purse collection- Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, and Elie Tahari >

< A dream cabin in the woods surrounded by pines and fresh mountain air... >

< Dream closets, ahh- a place for everything and everything in its place for a beautiful space! >

Instalately

Happy Thursday, 3P followers!  Part of me cannot believe it is only Thursday, and the other part of me is super glad it is already Thursday- the days this week have been going by slowly for me, but the week is going by fast... except when I am thinking it is a day behind or a day ahead.  Oh well! Good thing I have Instagram throughout the day, to keep me remembering what day it is and what I wore or did throughout the day.  Ahh, the brain of a woman who is always thinking about everything- always so many things to accomplish, remember, and excel at, right?  Here are a few Instagram shots from lately for you to enjoy (and just fyi, I always love re-looking at these pictures)!  You can also see these Instagram photos here and here.

Wise Words

< Wonderful words to greet you by the front door >

I have been lucky enough to spend plenty of wonderful time at my grandparent's house this month, both for times of much celebration (following a successful surgery and following my birthday).  Visiting my grandma and grandpa has, and probably always will be, one of my favorite treats in life- the welcoming arms that greet you as you enter the front door, the smell of some tasty baked good or homemade food wafts through the air, and there is a sense of safety and relaxation that envelopes you.  As you wander through the rooms of this space my grandma has so thematically decorated throughout the years (and my grandpa has been so kind to help her with the handyman aspects of all that), positive words jump out at you from almost every wall- I can't help but smile when I read and re-read these inspirational quips and quotes.  I am happy to share that my grandma let me snap a few pictures of these  words around her home, so now you can see where my inspiration for words around my house came from.  And if you are looking for a few more encouraging or witty sayings in addition to what you see on this post, check this out.

< Thankful to have friends like this! >

< Service, prayer and faith in sweet needlepoint form >

< Carry a song in your heart, but also carry the songs of those you love >

< Oh so true, isn't it?? >

< I must add this saying to my front entryway >

< This is so totally my grandma! >

< A precious saying, that was a precious gift my grandma gave to my grandpa a few years ago >

4 (x2) Pins for Friday

TGIF and happy Friday, 3P peeps!  The sun has been shinning brightly lately, and this has really cheered my week up- plus, I have worn a few stripes (my new favorite) here and there in outfits, which makes me feel confident and proud.  In order to leave this week's post on a high note, I am happily sharing some Pins I found which encourage my growing love of happy stripes.  Hopefully some of these will provide you with some cheery inspiration.

Have a wonderful weekend, and catch you back here on Monday!
