Spring date night stripes

A few weeks ago, thanks to a woman very close to my heart, the man and I got away for the first time since 3PbabyB arrived for a little date night.  The weather was warm, the dinner spot was hoppin,' and I was so happy to throw on a dress and heels for the occasion.  My necklace made it's debut appearance that night and oh-how-I-love the green spikes!

Breaking the rules- navy & black

One of the most exciting things about fashion these days is that there really are not any 'rules' one must follow anymore! White can be worn year round, you can mix any patterns you like, and hemlines are popular at any length.  Since blue is pretty much my all-time favorite color, I pair it with so many different patterns and colors in my closet.  Here I am showcasing two recent outfits where I am 'breaking the rules' by pairing navy with black.  This combo makes for an easy winter outfit, and easily mixes up your basic winter blacks with a little fun color.

Kim Kardashian's engagement ring

Thought this might be nice as a little afternoon pickup today... Now that many of us have heard about Kim and Kanye's engagement, the time for focusing on bling is here.  My only hope is that this couple will stay madly in love and continue to develop their relationship, no matter the size of the ice skating rink on her left hand!  Only time will tell on this one (I am sure that E News will keep us updated,) but in the meantime here are some fairly affordable ice skating rinks for your own hands.  Any cocktail paired with a killer cocktail ring is just that much better, right?

Green wedding things

Back in high school, my best friends and I all chose our favorite colors, and these colors have all been seen in each of our weddings.  For my best friend's wedding last weekend, she highlighted 'her color' (aka, green) in much of her wedding details, including the sweet gifts she shared with us bridesmaids.  Here's a peek at my wonderful new M bag that is going to be very useful, my new favorite green heels that have received so many compliments already, and some sparkly cascading earrings that I will always cherish.  And the reason this post is perfect for today??  It's my best friend's birthday!  Happy Birthday to you, BFF! Summer arm parties

A few sparkly, bright, or beloved bangles on my wrist seem to make any day better- they just add a simple little something that brings a spot of wonderful anytime I see them!  This summer I have loved stacking on metallic, neon, and neutral hues, all of which have made my arm parties these past few months totally summer-themed.  And when the wrist soiree totally compliments the handbag of the day?  Home run, ladies!

Summer wedding style
