sneaky, sneaky

My feet are so glad that flat slip-on sneakers are very on-trend these days.  While I am still a high-heel loving fashionista, there are a few flat slip-ons which I have been crushing on lately.  Worn with jeans or casual skirts or dresses, these sneaks will keep you comfortable and stylish all day long!

Cobalt Crush

As a girl who loves blue, I couldn't be more pleased that cobalt is one of fall's hottest hues.  This vibrant  color can be seen on everything from coats to clutches, and even an evening's smokey eye.  When styling an outfit, try pairing this blue with cranberry, grey, marigold, and even animal print.  Click below for some great buys in this hot peacock color, and let me know if you have any great cobalt finds for your fall wardrobe!

Spring flats and fun necklaces

Doesn't spring (even if its a snowy spring in your area) always have you itching to put light, bright, sweet spring pieces in your closet?  Lately I have been on the hunt for cute and comfortable spring flats, and shopping online is great when shipping is free both ways just in case something doesn't fit right! I am not usually a flats kind of girl, but some upcoming trips and events have me thinking I will definitely need a practical (yet cute!) shoe for these happenings! Here I have gathered a few flats (all under $100) I am currently eyeing as potential spring additions to my closet- won't these be great for warm sunny weather sans tights?  I also had to include a few of my favorite necklaces for spring- and they will be the perfect addition to an outfit with their coordinating flats!

Obsessed: Paris Fashion Week Favorites

< snow princess looks from Valentino >

Just some more Fall 2013 fashion show love on the 3P blog today, this time from Paris.  The rich, warm, luxe looking designs from these shows are nothing less than what I would dream to wear during cool fall days later this year.  I know many of us are more than ready for spring weather and lighter layers right now, but I just can't resist ogling the beautiful opulence of the Parisian shows.

Have a wonderful weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here on Monday!

2013 Oscars Trends

Did you catch some of the beautiful red carpet fashion from yesterday's Oscars ceremony?  The 2013 red carpet for the 85th Academy Awards last night was full of sparkle, color, and beaming stars last night.  To be honest, I didn't watch much of the actual ceremony last night- save the James Bond 50 year presentation, and the best film award.  However, I am fairly pleased to read the award results from last night, and now I have a few must-see movies to add to my list (Argo, Life of Pi, anyone?).  But as you 3P readers know, red carpet fashion is pretty much my favorite part of any awards show.  Here I have broken down several trends from the 2013 Oscars, and provided some options for shopping the looks!

Obsessed: NYFW Fall 2013

< Effortless, easy gilded romance at Tory Burch > (images)

Attending New York Fashion week (or any fashion week, really!)  is a life goal of mine.  I know that many bloggers, buyers, and higher-ups in the fashion world got to enjoy a crazy busy fashion week in New York the past few days, and thanks to the wonder of social media and live-streamed shows I was able to enjoy many of the debuted collections right from my own little computer screen.  I am so excited for all of the jewel tones, romantic looks, velvet creations, and opulent accessories that will be all the rage this coming fall- these styles are right up my alley!  In fact, if any cold gray days come my way in the next few weeks, I will be using the inspiration from some of my favorite runway looks to create my own street style outfit (you know where you can see that kind of 3P post).  Here is a roundup of just a few of my favorite looks from the NYFW Fall 2013 shows, which contains just a few looks with which I am slightly obsessed these days.

Have a great weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here next week!

< Stunning rock-n-roll looks from the amazing Diane von Furstenberg... I want it all! > (images)

< Simply adoring all of the fabulous coats from Trina Turk's presentation > (images)

< Houndstooth and cobalt looks from Michael Kors- one of my favorite prints and colors! > (images)

< J.Crew had so many looks to swoon over- these three are some of my favorites.  The embellished collar on the jacket (left), and the pinks and pastels are just divine! > (images)

< Mr. Lauren nailed it (and got a well deserved standing ovation at the end of his show!)  Opulent romance was the theme in his designs, and how luxurious my fall wardrobe would be if only I could have one of each of his amazing looks from this show! > (images)

< And last but certainly not least, Mr. de la Renta once again presented a breathtaking show- the coats, the ladylike suits, and the incredible evening gowns are my dreams come true > (images)

Obsessed: leopard print

TGIF, my Particularly Pretty supporters! I know that Pantone has listed Emerald as the color of the year (and yes, I do love me a good, rich green), but after receiving this surprise (which I am now obsessed with) from my wonderful husband (with whom I am obsessed) last night, I was just inspired to keep on loving animal print and name it as the 3P 'color' of the year.  Seeing spots over some of the options in today's collage?  Well click here, here, here, and here for some more wild print love on the blog.

Have a great weekend, 3P style, and I will see you back here next week!

Patch it through

< Adorable!  Elbow patches on warm gloves from UGG >

Lately I have been itching for sweater weather, and while it has only been one or two days of fall coolness for me, I am sure many of you on the east coast are totally experiencing cold fall days, and even snow!  What is one of my favorite trends for these winter months?  Elbow patches, believe it or not!  While they do revoke memories of literal 'old school,' there are so many new shapes, colors, and patterns that are totally on trend.  One cozy sweater + two elbow patches = 3 things to cheer you up on a cold gray day!

Edit: Also believe it or not, one of my girlfriends brought up the elbow patch popularity last night after I wrote this post, and before I even mentioned it to her- patches must be absolutely popular!

< Cozy, affordable options from ASOS (gray, black) >

< Patch it and bag it: Oneill's version, leopard patch purse >

Socks... Hmm...

With the weather finally cooling off, my dreams of sweaters and scarves are coming true.  It might be time to add the warm winter clothes to the closet!  One trend I have been debating about with myself is this socks with heels idea.  For long-legged luckies, I am sure that this trend will look just fine on you.  For more vertically challenged ladies such as myself, I am up in the air.  I mean, I love me some warm feet- don't get me wrong.  But I will probably be more likely to pair opaque tights with any open-toed shoes now, rather than socks.  Or maybe, just maybe, I will give this whole sock trend a try.  Would you ever pair socks with your high heels?
