Obsessed: red carpet VMA style

Happy Friday, 3P wonderfuls!  TGIF!  To be honest, I did not even catch a glimpse of the VMAs last night, but because I have a slight thing for fashion, I always like checking out the red carpet styles.  This year's looks seemed to be fairly neutrally colored, with a slew of black, white, and gray looks, and just a smattering of color here and there.  It is hard for me to choose a favorite from the looks shown above, but I would probably choose Pink's sparkly gown is you twisted me arm.  Which look is your favorite?

One Dress, three ways

One of my favorite things to do is remix items in my closet to create totally different looks with the same items.  Typically, I try to always to remix the 'next' time I wear something I know I have recently worn, and I find this inspiring as I never really want to wear the same thing over and over.  Today I am happy to share three different looks, for three different occasions, with one single dress- and this is my first actual peplum look featured on the blog!  Thankfully accessories make a huge difference in how an item of clothing can be styled, and the accessories I wore with this dress provide the perfect example of this concept.  You can see different ways I have remixed other items from my closet here: 1, 2, 3.  If this post encourages you to remix some items from your wardrobe for different occasions, let me know!

Wonders from the weekend

Happy September, 3P pretties! It is slightly hard to believe that this month is already here, and that it is already the 4th day of September! To say a sweet goodbye (or not really a goodbye, but rather a continuation of summer fun) to summer, we headed up to Tahoe with a group of great friends and enjoyed a leisurely float down the river, during which we all had a blast! Other weekend activities included a wall through a Tahoe Donner meadow, a corn hole tournament, a BBQ, and a cozy movie night in. I really wish we were all still on Tahoe together, but I have a feeling that this short week is going to be a great one. What did you do during your long Labor Day weekend?
