Amazing Alaska Adventure!

< The bow of the WONDERFUL Disney Wonder >

After a week away from home, it is good to be back!  These past few days my husband and I have enjoyed an absolutely incredible time on the Disney Wonder with family, cruising through Alaska.  The air travel experience trying to get to the port was somewhat harried due to the airline delaying flights, and as a result we survived on the ship for four days without our luggage.  However, the staff, crew, and cast members on the ship were completely helpful in making sure we were well taken care of.  Despite the not-ideal beginning to the cruise, the entire week ended up to be an extraordinary vacation.  The weather cooperated pretty much every day, and allowed time for port excursions such as a 4x4 drive up a mountain, a once-in-a-lifetime whale watching boat ride, and a warm snorkeling experience thanks to the 7mm wet suits provided by the local tour company.   The view from the veranda off of our stateroom was breath-taking whenever we looked out.  The food service was top-notch and although the dishes were not what I would label 5-star, I cannot complain one bit.  The activities on board were loads of fun, and I wanted to attend pretty much each and every one.  As I am now back in reality, the cruise seems like a dream and well, it was- after all, isn't Disney all about making dreams come true?  Seriously, I cannot wait to travel again with the Disney Cruise Line!!  Here are a few snapshots from this amazing adventure, for you to enjoy.   :-)
