The sun is shinning almost every other day now, and the rain falls in abundance from a gray sky on the other days. Despite this perpetually changing weather, spring is constantly on my mind as the season officially started this past Sunday. As I walked by Anthropoligie one sunny day last week, I noticed the window display pictured above and thought, "Sweet Laundry Goddess." While I would only ever wear such an outfit to a costume party (although I do love the draped display), the lovely citrus colors of yellow and green reminded me of a sunny yellow dress that brightens up my closet:
This v-neck sheath is a great dress to wear to the office, and is easy to gussy up for more formal occasions. I just can't wait for the sunny days to be uninterrupted so that I can wear this frock and not worry about freezing in the rain! Inspired by the citrus shades in the Anthropologie window display, as well as the yellow sheath, I dreamt up two outfit ideas for you to enjoy.
A draped jacket and ladylike bag make this dress appropriate for a professional setting, and low wedge pumps will save your feet when you walk around the office all day.
A fun tassel belt adds a playful hint perfect for evening, and high heels pump up the mood of this outfit. An assortment of green jewelry adds the right amount of contrast to the dress, and a soft leather jacket will keep you warm during cooler evenings.
Love the yellow!! :)
