Vanity

"You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you..."  Carly Simon hit the nail on the head with this song when she referred to a guy who walks into a room struttin' his stuff like he's the cream of the crop.  But while strutting like that may not be your cup of tea, there is certainly nothing wrong with holding your shoulders back and your head up high.  And to carry yourself with this kind of confidence, what better way to put the finishing touches on your outfit with the supplies from a dressing table?  Mine happens to be a former desk, fashioned now to hold jewelry, makeup, and the perfect mirror for finalizing the details of a daily beauty routine.  Organized with a few feminine details, I really feel like a girly girl sitting at this dressing table, and am glad I have this place to 'play dress-up' every day.

I love small details such as the mirror tray and peacock feathers

Ahh, the sweet smell of spring (or enticing scent of musk)

A lamp to help with lighting and a fabulous shoe calendar

Some of my favorite fashion books that help to inspire outfits

Makeup brushes at home in a cup from Anthropologie

Lipgloss, eyeshadow, and blush- oh my!
