Did you know...?

I love reading about history, and little factoids and stories bring a large amount of delight into my life.  If you look into any day in history, there are so many famous events to read about and store in your arsenal of knowledge you should never run out of information to learn and share.  On this first day of the sixth month of this year (already!), I am happy to share a few little facts about June 1 history for your lunchtime midday reading pleasure.

< On this day in history in 1861, the first skirmish in the Civil War occurred at the Fairfax Court House in Virginia >

< On this day in history in 1926, American film and television actor Andy Griffith (whom I have always adored as an actor) was born >

< On this day in history in 1938, the first Superman comic appeared in Action Comics >

< On this day in history in 1967, The Beatles released their eighth studio album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club >
